Korean or Japanese gilt bronze Buddhist statue and gilt bronze Zushi.
Casted and engraved Bodhisattva Sho-Kannon holding a lotus flower and standing on a lotus stand. Front doors of the Zushi, each with phoenixe casted in high relief and sculpted with details. Both interior of the Zushi doors chiseled Kinnara, bird of paradise with human head, playing musical instrument.
Choson (Yi) Dynasty, or late Edo-Meiji period,19th century
Height of figure: 7 cm Height of Zushi: 8 cm Width with open doors: 10.5 cm
Condition: Pin at the bottom which hold the statue is loosen, a small hole at the back of Zushi. A top pin of the right side door missing.
