THE DUNDURN GROUP TO LAUNCH “CBRAonline”
The Dundurn Group (www.dundurn.com/books/general-information/about-the-dundurn-group.html), which has acquired the CANADIAN BOOK REVIEW ANNUAL, will launch the book online this winter. Established in 1975 by Dean Tudor and Peter Martin & Associates, the CBRA publishes reviews of English-language Canadian trade, scholarly, reference, and children’s books published in Canada each year by Canadian authors (or authors who reside in Canada) in a hardcover reference book format.
Now the Dundurn Group will be featuring CBRA’s more than 40,000 reviews of Canadian books online and will continue to review 1800 books annually. “The CBRA will herald its 35th anniversary in 2009–10,” says Kirk Howard, CEO of the Dundurn Group, “and the online launch is a wonderful way to celebrate Canadian publishing.”
Adds Joyce Wilson, CBRA’s Editor-in-chief, “The online launch is also a tribute to the thousands of reviewers who have so generously contributed their time to make the CBRA a success over the years.“
